Overview
Introduced in 1973 to challenge Europe’s established component monopoly, the first-generation Shimano Dura-Ace (7100 / GA-200 series) marked the dawn of modern Japanese high-performance bicycle manufacturing. Engineered from cold-forged duralumin, this landmark crankset established Shimano's global reputation for exceptional metallurgical precision, silky finishes, and surgical power transfer.
This extraordinary ensemble features the highly sought-after Dura-Ace Black edition chainrings with factory-machined lightening cutouts, creating an aggressive two-tone contrast against the classic silver arms with black fluted branding. Preserved in museum-grade NOS (New Old Stock) / NIB (New in Box) condition, the crankset is showcased in its authentic collector presentation case with red velvet lining.
Crucially for the connoisseur, this ensemble remains 100% complete: including the matching original Dura-Ace English-thread bottom bracket (BSA 1.37 x 24T, 68 mm spindle), integrated self-extracting One-Key Release caps, and the exceedingly rare, fully equipped original Dura-Ace Tool Set housed in its dedicated red compartment. An irreplaceable, complete time capsule for a world-class vintage bicycle restoration or museum showcase.
