Description:

This authentic Colnago Eddy Merckx "Molteni" vintage road bike is based on the legendary Colnago Super frame from the 1970s, finished in the iconic Molteni team orange and featuring official Eddy Merckx branding. The frame was professionally repainted in Italy by a previous owner who was a dedicated Colnago collector. The paint restoration was carried out with great care and in the correct historical shade.

The frame shows all the hallmarks of an early Colnago Super, including the elegant chromed fork crown with short cutouts. It is fully equipped with a Campagnolo Record groupset from the correct era, featuring the first-generation brake calipers with the characteristic “wing” opening mechanism, original bent brake levers and a 1974 rear derailleur.

Additional highlights include original Nisi 700 rims with Campagnolo Record hubs, a classic 3ttt cockpit, and a very rare Colnago saddle, making this bike a period-correct and highly collectible piece.

This rare and beautifully preserved road bike is not only a true gem for any vintage cycling enthusiast or collector, but it is also fully suitable for classic cycling events like L’Eroica, or as a striking design piece for display.

About me

A few years ago I caught the cycling bug.
It all started when I wanted to sell my old everyday racer because I simply didn't like it anymore.
But when I realized that it only needed cosmetic surgery, my love for my work with bicycles began.

In the meantime, I have given a new life to several bikes and helped many enthusiasts to get a good bike.
