The Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra is an undisputed masterpiece of cycling history and the gold standard of professional steel racing frames. Masterfully handcrafted in Meise, Belgium, from top-tier Columbus SLX tubing with internal spiral helical reinforcements, the Corsa Extra defined the highest ranks of European professional racing throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. It is outfitted with a pristine Campagnolo Chorus 8-speed Ergopower groupset, complemented by a period-correct Campagnolo Athena headset and the iconic Chorus Monoplaner brakes, revered for their sculptural design and excellent stopping power. Completed with a polished Italian 3ttt cockpit, robust hard-anodized Condorio RS 200 clincher rims wrapped in modern Pirelli P Zero Race tanwall tires, and a period-correct white Selle San Marco Rolls saddle, this bicycle represents an authentic fusion of Belgian framebuilding heritage and Italian engineering from the dawn of the Ergopower era.
Condition:
Used. Fully overhauled and professionally serviced at the RSB workshop in Munich. The frame and fork are in excellent structural condition with no dents, cracks, or repairs. The original paintwork is remarkably well preserved, displaying minor cosmetic touch-ups and authentic patina true to its age. Mechanically, the bike is in flawless condition: fully tuned, fitted with brand-new Pirelli P Zero Race tires, fresh cables, smooth housings, and newly wrapped white bar tape. Ready to ride.

It all started when I wanted to sell my old everyday racer because I simply didn't like it anymore.
But when I realized that it only needed cosmetic surgery, my love for my work with bicycles began.
