Description:
The Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra is widely celebrated as the pinnacle of classic steel racing bicycles. Handcrafted in Meise, Belgium, from legendary Columbus SLX tubing with internal spiral helical reinforcements, the Corsa Extra defined the professional peloton throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. This example stands out in its radiant, iconic solid magenta finish with crisp white Eddy Merckx livery. It is equipped with a complete Shimano Dura-Ace 7400 groupset—the groundbreaking componentry that powered powerhouse pro teams such as 7-Eleven, Panasonic, and Hitachi to Grand Tour and Monument victories. Featuring crisp indexed downtube shifting, BL-7402 aero brake levers, the matching SP-7400 seatpost, an iconic Italian 3ttt cockpit comprising a Superleggero drop bar and black Record 84 quill stem, Mavic Open 4 CD hard-anodized clincher rims laced with Michelin Power Cup tanwall tires, and a classic black Selle San Marco Rolls saddle, this bike delivers an exceptional fusion of Belgian framebuilding heritage and Japanese engineering precision.
Condition:
Used. Fully overhauled and professionally serviced at the RSB workshop in Munich. The frame and fork are in excellent structural condition with no dents, cracks, or repairs. The vibrant original magenta paintwork is beautifully preserved with light, authentic patina consistent with its age. The drive-side chainstay is shielded by a newly fitted carbon-silver chainstay protector. Mechanically, the bike is in flawless condition: fully tuned, fitted with brand-new Michelin Power Cup tires, fresh cables, smooth housings, and newly wrapped black bar tape. Ready to ride.

About me
A few years ago I caught the cycling bug.
It all started when I wanted to sell my old everyday racer because I simply didn't like it anymore.
But when I realized that it only needed cosmetic surgery, my love for my work with bicycles began.
In the meantime, I have given a new life to several bikes and helped many enthusiasts to get a good bike.
