Description:

Ernesto Colnago was born on 9 February 1932 in Cambiago, near Milan in Italy. At the age of 13, he entered the world of cycling and immediately fell in love with bikes. In 1952, he founded Colnago and began working as a mechanic for several professional cycling teams. Colnago bikes still dominate the world of cycling because Ernesto was always an innovator and pioneer of new technologies that supposedly provide greater efficiency or comfort.

Between the 1960s and 1980s, Colnago produced high-end steel bikes; in the early 1990s, they began producing bike frames made of titanium.  Titanium frames are lighter than steel and provide an enviably smooth ride, but they are very expensive. In 1993, Colnago released the 'Bititan', a unique, fully titanium frame with an iconic dual titanium downtube. Titanium bikes have a reputation for being 'bikes for life', and whether or not that's true, titanium remains an excellent metal for making frames even nowadays, in a world dominated by carbon fibre.

About me

A few years ago I caught the cycling bug.
It all started when I wanted to sell my old everyday racer because I simply didn't like it anymore.
But when I realized that it only needed cosmetic surgery, my love for my work with bicycles began.

In the meantime, I have given a new life to several bikes and helped many enthusiasts to get a good bike.
