Overview

Introduced in 1993 as Campagnolo's premier World Cup-level off-road group, the Campagnolo Record O.R. (Off-Road) set a new standard for sculpted Italian design in the mountain bike world. In contrast to earlier bulky integrated controls, Record O.R. introduced refined, independent cockpit architecture featuring sleek forged duralumin flat-bar brake levers paired with precise top-mount thumb shifters ("Thumbies").

Finished in satin black with stamped Campagnolo shield logos on the ergonomic lever blades and embossed crests on the rounded shifter hoods, this complete 4-piece control ensemble represents the ultimate mechanical cockpit from Vicenza. Featuring 3x8-speed capability (micro-friction front trimming with crisp rear indexing), integrated barrel adjusters, and lever reach adjustment screws, this set is in very good pre-owned condition—an elusive period-correct treasure for top-tier vintage mountain bike restorations (Merlin Titanium, Bianchi Cr-Mo, Fat Chance Yo Eddy, or Breezer).

Is the bicycle ready to ride & how much assembly is needed?

Yes, 100%. Every bike is completely overhauled, greased, and pre-adjusted in our Munich workshop before dispatch. To pack it securely, we only remove the wheels and pedals and turn the handlebars. Reassembly takes less than 15 minutes with standard Allen keys and a pedal wrench.

Can I view the bike in person or via live video call?

Absolutely. In-person viewings and test rides are available by appointment at our workshop in Munich. For international buyers, we regularly schedule 1-on-1 live video calls (WhatsApp / FaceTime) to walk you through every pantograph, chrome detail, and component in real time.

Are the components authentic and the frame checked for damage?

Yes. We strictly verify frame alignment, tubing sets, and date codes. We guarantee zero structural cracks, deep rust, or dents. Every groupset is inspected for authenticity and disclosed transparently with high-resolution photos.
