Overview
Introduced in late 1988 as Campagnolo's premier top-of-the-line off-road groupset, the Campagnolo Euclid stands as a landmark in mountain bike history. Engineered to conquer the burgeoning global ATB market with pure Italian racing heritage, Euclid embraced an uncompromising design philosophy: massive cold-forged duralumin construction, sculpted industrial ergonomics, and indestructible mechanical tolerances.
This matching vintage Euclid ensemble brings together the iconic integrated flat-bar brake/shift levers and a complete pair of front and rear Euclid U-brake calipers. The cockpit controls feature tactile 7-speed indexed thumb shifters ("Thumbies") with micro-friction trimming up front, protected by Euclid's signature ribbed grey boots. The heavy-duty U-brake calipers deliver commanding stopping power, complete with original Campagnolo brake pad shoes, mounting sleeve bolts, torsion springs, all four original grey rubber pivot dust seals, and the authentic original Campagnolo straddle cable carriers (yokes) in their original hardware baggie. Accompanied by three original Campagnolo instruction booklets, this rare group is the ultimate period-correct prize for top-tier vintage MTB restorations (such as Klein, Brodie, Fat Chance, or Colnago Ibex).
